ACUPUNCTURE APPOINTMENTS
At the time of the 1st assessment for acupuncture, your pet will receive
a full physical examination, extensive review of prior medical concerns
and previous treatments, and a discussion of your pet’s care at home.
We will then discuss treatment objectives and expectations before any
treatments can be given.
Most pets are very comfortable with the acupuncture treatments and
seldom even notice the insertion of the delicate acupuncture needles.
Once the needles are inserted they are in place for 10-20 minutes while
you and your pet rest quietly.
Acupuncture sessions are repeated once every 1-2 weeks and often 3-5
sessions may be needed before any outward benefits are observed at
home.
In addition to acupuncture, the treatment of your pet’s medical
conditions with TCM may include Chinese Herbal Medicines or special
foods.
